Privacy Policy
Simple products require plain language privacy terms.
Last updated: April 7, 2026.
This policy comprehensively covers the Retro Console Emulator iOS app, our web tools (Theme Packer), and our ROM library.
📱 1. iOS App Data & Storage
The Retro Console Emulator iOS application is designed with a strict offline-first, local-processing philosophy.
- No Account System: The app does not require and does not contain any user sign-up, login, or profile creation features.
- On-Device Saving: The app stores all imported ROM files, save states, settings, and library metadata strictly locally on your iOS device.
- No Cloud Syncing: Your gameplay data and imported ROMs are absolutely never transmitted back to our servers.
- Device Permissions: If the app requests Photo Library access or Files app access, it is solely utilized exclusively for the user-requested export/import of gameplay recordings, screenshots, and legal ROM backups. We do not automatically scan your photo library or filesystem.
🌐 2. Web Tools (Theme Packer)
Our online utilities, primarily the Theme Packer tool, are completely client-side solutions.
When you select a local ROM and an Image to pack via our tools, your browser natively reads the binary files directly using HTML5 File APIs. Your files are never uploaded to our servers. The resulting package is generated on your own computing hardware.
📊 3. Analytics & Tracking
We believe in respecting your privacy while you game or browse.
- No App Tracking: The iOS app does absolutely not integrate third-party advertising SDKs or tracking mechanisms that build consumer profiles across other companies' apps or websites (Compliant with ATT).
- Website Logs: When you visit our website, our basic hosting provider may automatically log standard connection data (IP address, access time). This is entirely generalized server infrastructure behavior required for DDoS protection and bandwidth diagnostics.
🤝 4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Any non-identifiable data handling only occurs strictly within the realm of fundamental service operations, such as Apple holding App Store crash reports and diagnostics (if you have opted-in via your iOS global device settings).
🗑️ 5. Your Rights & Data Deletion
Because we do not store your data on our servers, you retain 100% complete sovereignty over your data.
- To delete your data: Simply delete the imported ROMs or Save States from the app's library management screen, or entirely uninstall the app from your iOS device.
- Permissions: You can permanently revoke Photo/File access privileges inside your iOS System Settings > Retro Console Emulator.
