โก Quick start
Open the ROMs library in the app and tap Add ROM.
Choose Files (for .nes files) or Gallery (for a PNG with embedded game data).
Pick your file โ it is copied into the app and appears in your library. Tap it to play.
๐ Import a .nes file (Files)
Save or download a .nes game to your iPhone โ to iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, or any cloud service that shows up in the Files app.
In the app: Add ROM โ Files, browse to the .nes file, and select it.
๐ผ๏ธ Import a packed image (Gallery)
Some games are shared as a single PNG image that quietly contains the game data (made with our Theme Packer tool).
Save that image to your Photos, then in the app: Add ROM โ Gallery and pick the image. The game is extracted automatically.
๐ Download in Safari
Tap a game link in Safari and choose Download. The file lands in your Downloads folder (in the Files app).
In the app: Add ROM โ Files โ Downloads, then select the file.
โฌ๏ธ After you download
Tap the download icon (a downward arrow) at the bottom of Safari โ or the โขโขโข menu, then Downloads โ to see your files.
For a plain .nes file: tap it to open it directly, then choose Retro Console Emulator.
For a packed .nes.png image: tap Share / Open Withโฆ and pick Retro Console Emulator โ it extracts the game for you.
The download icon sits at the bottom of Safari.Tap a .nes to open it; use Open With for a .nes.png.
๐ฎ Slots & limits
The free version includes 4 save slots and room for 4 imported games. Pro expands this to 8 slots and 20 games, and Max unlocks unlimited save slots and imports.

Only add homebrew, public-domain, or games you are legally permitted to use.
Everything stays on your device โ no account, no uploads, no tracking.
Trouble importing? Make sure the file is a real .nes ROM, or a PNG packed with our tool.
